ARUNDEL, Maine (WGAN) An Ogunquit man has been arrested and charged following a rape accusation.
Police say in late May, a woman reported to the York County Sheriff’s Office that she was raped, beaten and choked by an acquaintance in Arundel.
Police say following an investigation, 22-year-old Gezler Heron was charged with gross sexual assault and aggravated assault.
He’s being held on $50,000 bail and is scheduled to be in Superior Court Friday afternoon.
