Old Orchard Beach teen identified as victim in fatal Scarborough wreck

Police say the victim in a deadly crash Monday morning in Scarborough has been identified as a local teenager.

They say the body of 19-year-old Christopher Thompson of Old Orchard Beach was found inside a submerged vehicle in the marsh off Pine Point Road.

CBS 13 reports police discovered the submerged vehicle around 10 a.m. in the marsh near the Eastern Trail during low tide.

No one else was in the vehicle.

The crash remains under investigation.
