One hurt in South Bristol shooting ​

Dispatchers confirmed one person was hurt during a shooting in South Bristol Friday night.

According to a Facebook post by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, it happened on Clarks Cove Road in the Walpole area of South Bristol around 7 p.m.

“The event has been contained and there is no continued public safety threat at this time,” the post reads. “All parties have been identified and Sheriff’s
Deputies and Detectives continue to investigate.”

The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, dispatchers said.

No further information has been released.
