One Injured in Early Morning Portland Fire

One person has injuries from an early morning fire on Thursday at a commercial building on Lancaster Street in Portland.

Firefighters say they arrived at an all-hands assignment at 115 Lancaster Street just before 5 a.m. and put out the fire in less than 10 minutes.

They say they helped one man get out of the building shortly after they arrived, and later located a woman at a nearby address who was taken to a hospital with injuries.

Lancaster Street was briefly closed down during the fire, which is still under investigation.

The fire is under investigation at this time in collaboration with the State Fire Marshal’s Office and Portland Police. There were no injuries to firefighters.
