OAKLAND, Maine (WGAN)  The State Fire Marshal’s Office says a man died last night when fire swept his small camper in Oakland.

Fire investigators say they believe the victim is 46-year-old William Halley. His body was transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Augusta for examination.

The fire was reported about 5:30 p.m. by a neighbor.

Halley lived alone in the camper, which was parked in the driveway of a friend on Sawtelle Road.
