One Person Stabbed in Mattawamkeag Home Invasion

Penobscot County deputies are looking for a suspect after a reported home invasion early Thursday morning in Mattawamkeag that left one person with stab injuries.

Deputies say they were sent to an address on Indian Avenue at around 6:30 a.m. about a person being stabbed during a possible home invasion.

They say the victim had left the scene in a vehicle and was subsequently located at another residence.

Deputies say the victim was taken to a hospital with injuries while a search continues for a suspect.

No description of the suspect was given.  Deputies say there’s no danger to the public.
