One Seriously Hurt in Naples Accident

NAPLES, Maine (WGAN)  The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office says it is investigating a three-car crash on Route 302.

Police say around 1 p.m., a Nissan pickup truck stopped at a crosswalk to allow pedestrians to cross.  A motorcyclist stopped behind the truck.

Police say a third vehicle, a GMC 2500, hit the motorcyclist, pinning the bike and rider between the two trucks.

The motorcyclist was taken to Bridgton Hospital before being transferred to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston for serious head injuries.

Police are reconstructing the crash.

They say speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash.

No names have been released.
