Police in Lewiston are investigating after a man and at least two vehicles were shot overnight.

According to the Sun Journal, officers responded to the area of College and Bartlett Streets around 1 a.m. Friday to a report of gunshots. Officers found a vehicle riddled with bullets with the doors open.

A 36-year-old man approached police with gunshot wounds to his back and arm. The department says he refused medical treatment and was subdued so that he could be taken to the hospital. He suffered non life-threatening injuries.

A second person contacted police later on Friday telling them their vehicle had also been struck by gunfire when it was parked and unoccupied.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Lewiston Police.

As of Friday afternoon, no arrests had been made.
