Saco Police say two people from Vermont were taken into custody following motor vehicle burglaries.

Detectives linked an older Subaru Forester to the crimes, which took place on Aug. 26 and 27 and notified local departments.

On Aug. 29, a Maine State Police Trooper stopped the vehicle in rural western Maine, arresting 32-year-old Kyle Fielden and 30-year-old Lacey Norton, both from Burlington, Vermont.

They were taken to York County jail, where they were charged with multiple crimes including theft and burglary.
