Pedestrian struck by vehicle in crosswalk in Bangor seriously injured

Bangor police are investigating a crash involving a pedestrian on Thursday.

The crash happened around 12:20 p.m. at the intersection of Main and Union Streets.

Police said a passenger car struck a pedestrian who was in the crosswalk. The driver said they failed to see the person as they were turning.

The pedestrian, a 35-year-old man, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The accident is still under investigation.
