An event in Kennebunk raised money for a maintenance worker seriously injured in a Farmington explosion.

Our info partners at CBS 13 News report a pet walk at Gooch’s Beach raised over $1,000 Saturday. The money is going to Larry Lord, the maintenance worker credited with getting people out of the LEAP building before it exploded in September.

Lord has also worked as the animal control officer in Livermore Falls. He remains in a Boston hospital recovering from his injuries.
