Police asking for public’s help as they investigate hit-and-run in Hermon

HERMON, Maine (WGAN) Police in Penobscot County are trying to track down the driver in a hit-and-run that left a boy seriously injured in Hermon.

The sheriff’s office says the crash happened on Friday around 7 p.m. on Route 2 on Miller Hill. They said a light-colored sedan traveling in the direction of Bangor struck one of three boys who were walking along the road. He suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries.

In an update, police said they found a passenger side mirror at the scene that belongs to a Dodge Caliber sedan.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office at 945-4636.
