A police cruiser was struck by another car Saturday night along I-295 while officers were assisting with another crash, according to South Portland Police.

Our info partners at CBS 13 report that the crash happened just before 10:30 p.m. near exit 2 Southbound. The South Portland Police officer was on scene to assist the Maine State Police as they investigated a separate roll over crash in the same area. Investigators said the cruiser that was crashed into was unoccupied at the time and no officers were injured.

Police are still investigating both crashes.
