Lewiston man reported missing found safe

UPDATE: Police on Tuesday afternoon said Anthony Luiz had been found safe.

Police in Lewiston are looking for a man who’s been missing since Saturday.

The Lewiston Police Department said 37-year-old Anthony Luiz Jr. was last seen leaving his home on Lincoln Street in Lewiston Saturday morning around 7:45 a.m. He was wearing blue jeans, a tattered blue Carhartt sweatshirt and brown sneakers. He may also have a black leather jacket with fur on the inside.

He’s 6 feet tall, weighing between 155 and 170 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He also recently shaved his head and facial hair.

Family members said he stated he was going for a walk but left his home without his cell phone or glasses.

Anyone with information is being asked to call Lewiston police.
