Police ID Man Killed in Crash on I-295


BOWDOINHAM, Maine (WGAN)  State Police say a Richmond man was killed late Friday night when his pickup crashed into trees off Interstate 295.

The crash took place off the north bound lane in Bowdoinham.

Police say 76-year-old Gary Hastings lost control of his 2008 Ford pickup truck , which went into the median and struck a tree. Hastings was alone and died at the crash site.

Speed and alcohol do not appear to be a factors, according to police.
