Waterville Police announced the identity of a man found dead outside of an apartment building on Monday.  Police say the man is 36-year-old Ivory Shoulders, who lived in the apartment building where he was found dead.

Police first responded to a call around 6 o’clock on Monday where a caller reported a man who looked to be sleeping or passed out.  Police were able to quickly identify that the man was, in fact, deceased.  They moved the body from the site and began an investigation into a cause of death.

While police are still awaiting a toxicology report, they don’t consider Shoulders’ death to be suspicious.  Neighbors said that Shoulders was involved in a custody battle for a young son and also had an 11-year-old daughter.
