Police Identify Pedestrian Killed in Accident Over the Weekend

PORTLAND, Maine (WGAN)  Portland Police have identified the person that was hit and killed by a city-owned truck over the weekend.

Police say a white 2005 Sterling dump truck carrying snow hit and killed 58-year-old Robert Belanger just before 4 a.m. Saturday, March 10.

Police say Belanger was walking on Congress Street near Blueberry Road when he was hit.

Police have identified the driver of the truck as 49-year-old Donald Penney from South Portland.
