Police identify victim of fatal house fire in Portland

The victim in a deadly fire in Portland has been identified.

On Wednesday, Portland police said 73-year-old David Goodell died in the house fire on August 4th. His body was found inside the home by firefighters. His partner, 53-year-old Mary Ann Larrabee, was injured and in stable condition at the hospital.

Firefighters responded to the home on Broadway in the city’s Riverton neighborhood around 8 a.m.

Investigators are still looking into the fire’s cause and origin. Anyone with information is being asked to contact Portland police.
