Police in Cumberland County locate missing Raymond man


UPDATE: Police said Thursday they have located Averysson, who is alive and well, in the woods. Family members have been notified.

RAYMOND, Maine (WGAN) Police are asking for the public’s help as they search for a Raymond man last seen on Sunday.

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office says 39-year-old Siggi Averysson was last seen around 5:50 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Plains Road and Meadow Road in Raymond. He was dropped off there after agreeing to leave his residence due to failing to pay rent, and said he would camp in the woods.

Investigators say Averysson’s 4-wheeler is missing from the residence at 120 Plains Road.

Anyone with information is being asked to call police.
