Police investigate after woman’s body washes up near Portland Head Light

An investigation was launched Thursday after a body washed up near the Portland Head Light in Cape Elizabeth.

Authorities say a woman’s body was found on the rocks by the Cliff Walk at Fort Williams Park around 1:30 p.m.

Maine State Police are assisting in that investigation.

No other details have been released.
