Police investigate pedestrian-involved crash in Westbrook


WESTBROOK, Maine (WGAN) Police responded to the scene Thursday morning after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle.

Westbrook police say officers responded to the crash at the intersection of East Bridge and Austin Streets around 7:30 a.m. Thursday. Police identified the victim as 67-year-old Clifford Verrill of Westbrook. He was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police identified the driver as 24-year-old Nicholas Moulton of Windham.

Police are working to reconstruct the crash and are asking any witnesses to come forward and call the Westbrook Police Department.
