Police Identify Victim in Portland “Suspicious” Death

PORTLAND, Maine (WGAN)   Portland Police are investigating a suspicious death in the city.

Police say around 10 p.m. Sunday night, 36-year-old Sokha Khuon was found deceased in the home she shares with her husband and two children.  Officers responded to the home after a neighbor reported hearing gunshots.

Police say the two children, ages 15 and 10, were found by police officers outside and unharmed.  Khuon was found dead inside the home.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is performing an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.

Police say they do not believe there is any danger to the public as their investigation continues.
