Police Investigating After Report of Shots Fired

SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine (WGAN)  South Portland Police are investigating after a report of shots fired in the city Monday night.

Police say they got multiple calls around 9:25 p.m. Monday, with residents saying they thought they heard gunshots in the area of Pearl and Elm Streets.  They also reported seeing a car drive away at a high rate of speed.

Police say they found evidence of shots being fired and that there was damage to a nearby vehicle, storage shed and home.

Police say they weren’t releasing specifics due to their investigation.

No one was hurt.

Police say they are still investigating and anyone with information should call Detective Scott Corbett at (207) 799-5511, Ext 7449.
