Police Investigating Death of Goat at Smiling Hill Farm

SCARBOROUGH, Maine (WGAN)  Scarborough police say they are investigating the killing of a pregnant goat at Smiling Hill Farm.

Police said they received a report on Sunday morning that a person trespassed onto the property and intentionally killed the goat in a fenced-in area.

The goat was last seen alive at 4 p.m. Saturday Feb. 17, according to police.

The farm said 5-year-old Ava was shot during the snowstorm Saturday night into Sunday.

The farm is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the identification of the person who killed the goat.
