Police issue Silver Alert for missing woman from York County


Maine State Police have issued a Silver Alert for a 79-year-old Lyman woman.

Police are asking for help locating Gail Wicklund, who lives on Desert Brook Road in Lyman. Police believe she’s traveling on foot. She was last seen around 10:42 a.m. on Thursday.

Police say Wicklund has dementia and hasn’t taken her medication.

She’s described as white, 5’ 6″, and 140 lbs., with blue eyes and gray hair.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact police.
