Victim in fatal crash in Gray identified

GRAY, Maine (WGAN) Police have identified the three people involved a deadly crash in Gray on Friday afternoon.

Police reported that Route 202 in Gray was closed from Lawrence Road to the Windham town line after the crash, which was reported around 3:30 p.m.

A cement truck and passenger vehicle were involved. 39-year-old Wendy Perkins of Standish was behind the wheel of the passenger vehicle when she crossed the center line, going into the path of cement truck. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said she was not wearing a seat belt.

A male passenger, 32-year-old Gerald Roesoner of Portland, was transported to Maine Medical Center with serious injuries.

The cement truck driver, 53 year old Kevin Daoust of Fayette, was not injured.
