Police respond to shooting in Sabattus

Police say there’s no threat to the public after a shooting at the Sabattus-Lisbon town line Wednesday evening.

According to the Sun Journal, there was a heavy police presence at the intersection of King Road and Middle Road, or Route 9, with the sheriff confirming that deputies were at the scene for a shooting.

Witnesses told the paper someone was shooting at vehicles passing by and that the shooter shot himself, but police had not confirmed that as of Wednesday evening.
