Police Say Homeless Men Arrested at Portland Restaurant with Large Quantity of Drugs

Two homeless men face charges after Portland Police say they were caught with a large amount of drugs Sunday morning.

Officers were called to 15 Temple Street, which is the address of The Works restaurant, at 9:14 am, where a business owner asked for two people to be removed for trespassing.

They say the suspects exchanged and dropped a baggie with suspected drugs. Officers then detained and searched the suspects and recovered approximately 41 grams of fentanyl and 13.6 grams of methamphetamine.

Police then arrested 56-year-old Timothy Clark on charges of Violating Conditions of Release, Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Possession of Fentanyl, and Unlawful Trafficking in Scheduled Drugs.

They also arrested 46-year-old Derek Weeks on an outstanding warrant.

Both men were taken to the Cumberland County Jail.
