Police searching for a missing student at UM Presque Isle

Police in Presque Isle are searching for a student at UM Presque Isle who has been missing since Monday, Oct. 24.

Chase Dmuchowsky, 21, was last seen leaving the UMPI campus on surveillance film in the evening of Oct. 24 in his car, a 2008 Ford Expedition with California license plate 7CNE217.

The car was later found on the Penobscot Narrows Bridge in Hancock County, which connects the towns of Verona Island and Prospect. The car was still running, with the hazard lights flashing.

Police say that Dmuchowsky’s wallet and phone were missing from the car when it was found.

The student is described as having dark blonde hair and blue eyes. He is 6’6” tall and weighs 220 lbs.

Dmuchowsky was last seen wearing a black shirt, light cargo shorts, and brown work boots.

Police are asking anyone with information to call the Presque Isle Police Department at 207-764-44761 or the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department at 207 667-7575.
