Police seeking hit-and-run suspect in Portland

Police in Portland are looking for the driver in a hit-and-run that left a local man with serious injuries last week.

Police said 41-year-old Aron Werman was struck by a car while crossing Brighton Avenue at Taft Avenue. It happened around 8:40 p.m. on Wednesday, December 14th.

The driver of the car fled and was last seen heading inbound on Brighton Avenue. The car is a twilight blue, Honda CRV and should have significant front-end damage.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact police.

The victim remained at Maine Medical Center on Wednesday.
