WINDHAM, Maine (AP) Officials say three people are in the hospital and one person has life-threatening injuries after a crash in Windham.

Windham Police Sgt. Robert Hunt says the crash took place Thursday evening, and speed and alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the single-vehicle crash. The Portland Press Herald reports a passenger, 23-year-old Maha Dawood, is currently listed in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.

Hunt says the driver, 25-year-old Mona Dawood, and a second passenger, 35-year-old Bassam Majeed, were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
