The city of Portland is modifying their annual Fourth of July festivities.

On Friday, the city confirmed that there will be a fireworks display this year after last year’s display was cancelled due to the pandemic. The display will take place at the usual spot on the Eastern Promenade, but there won’t be a musical performance, VIP area, or ticketed element this year. Portland will also not be providing or managing food vendors this time around.

According to CBS 13, the city is looking at ways to livestream the display so people can enjoy the show remotely.

Fireworks will begin around 9:15 pm with a rain date scheduled for Monday, July 5th.
