PORTLAND, Maine (WGAN) A plan to designate 17 buildings along Forest Avenue as historical landmarks has been put on hold. The Action on the proposal has been postponed until October 21. The opposition of the designations came from owners of many of the properties, due to the fact that it would restrict their property rights and could delay and add to the cost of repairs and renovations to the buildings.
