Fire fighters were called to Eldredge Lumber and Hardware on Presumpscot Street around 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Flames could be seen for miles.

The portland fire and police departments will be assisted at the scene by the State Fire Marshal’s Office on Thursday.
