Portland Hotel Up for Historic Award

A Portland hotel is a nominee for the Historic Hotels of America Award of Excellence.

The Inn at Diamond Cove opened in 1910 and is located on Great Diamond Island in Casco Bay.

The awards are meant to recognize the finest historic hotels across the U.S. that preserve and celebrate their histories.

Inn at Diamond Cove was selected among 700 hotels to receive a finalist nomination.

Winners in several categories will be announced on October 30 in Seattle.

The hotel bills itself as a tranquil destination that provides guests with a peaceful & relaxing stay.

According to it’s social media page, it has 44 “deluxe” guest rooms and suites with balconies. All suites feature a fireplace, parlor & separate dining area.
