Portland police arrest armed robbery suspect

PORTLAND, Maine (WGAN) Police have made an arrest related to a robbery at a 7-Eleven in Portland.

Police say the 7-Eleven at 1917 Forest Avenue was robbed around 4 a.m. Friday by a man wearing a mask and brandishing a black semi-automatic handgun.

Using surveillance images, police identified the suspect as 36-year-old Alfred Larrabee of Limington. He was found just after 7:00 PM and taken into custody as he was entering the parking lot of the Embassy Suites Hotel on Westbrook Street in Portland.

Larrabee was charged with armed robbery and is being held at Cumberland County Jail.

Anyone with information about the robbery is being asked to call Portland police.
