PORTLAND, Maine (WGAN) Police have identified the person who was killed by an Amtrak Downeaster train in Portland on Sunday afternoon.

Portland police say 55-year-old Raul Fabian Schneider was killed while walking along the train tracks behind 400 St. John Street by the I-295 overpass a little 3 p.m. that day.

Police are looking for anyone who may have known him to help determine where he was living, and information that would lead police to his family so that they can notify them.

Raul was identified through fingerprints he provided when he entered the U.S. at a Texas border crossing in 2014. At that time, he identified his country of origin as Argentina.
