A Portland man is charged with murder for the death of a 21-year-old who was found injured on I-295 Wednesday night.
The victim, Julian Nadeau of Portland, died in the hospital after they were found in the breakdown lane on Tukey’s Bridge in Portland on the southbound side of I-295 near Exit 8.
Police say a fight ensued after Glen Rodney, 58, approached Nadeau while they were walking on a path with friends.
Rodney, who left the scene on a bicycle, was taken into custody on Presumpscot Street without incident shortly after the confrontation and charged with murder.
Nadeau died after being taken to Maine Medical Center.
Police have not released Nadeau’s cause of death.
Rodney is being held at Cumberland County Jail.
Portland Police are asking anyone with information that could aid in the investigation to contact them.
