Portland Police Investigating Stabbing

PORTLAND, Maine (WGAN)  Portland Police say they are investigating a stabbing that happened Thursday morning in the city.

Police say a 35-year-old man from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina was stabbed around 8:10 a.m. at the intersection of Oxford and Alder Streets.

Police say the victim fled the area and was eventually found in South Portland.

Police say the victim is being treated at Maine Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.

Police say they believe they know the other person involved, but they would like to speak to any witnesses.

Police say they don’t believe there is any threat to the public.
