Portland Police Looking for Missing 14-Year-Old Girl


PORTLAND, Maine (WGAN)  Portland Police are looking for a teenager who has been missing since the weekend.

Portland Police say Hilda Vanessa Sanaguaray-Upaya was last seen around 8 a.m. Saturday Jan. 27.  Police say she was in the area of Northgate Shopping Center on Auburn Street when she ran away from family members.

Police say Hilda is a Deering High School student that lives in the North Deering neighborhood, near where she was last seen.

Police say Hilda has not been to school or had any contact with friends or family members.  She doesn’t have a cell phone and had only a small amount of cash with her.

Police say Hilda has been known to use aliases on social media accounts with the names Valentina Diaz and Nelly Guaman.  She also goes by the name Vanessa.

Police say she is bilingual and can speak English and Spanish fluently.

She’s described as being about 5’01”, 100 pounds with long black hair and brown eyes.  She was last seen wearing a black hooded jacket and blue jeans.  She may also have a small pink wallet with a small amount of cash with her.
