Portland Police Search For Bank Robbery Suspect

PORTLAND, Maine (WGAN) Portland police are searching for a man they say robbed The Bank of America on Thursday morning.

Police say the bank, located at 1 City Center, was robbed just after 11:00 AM. The suspect entered the bank and handed a teller a note demanding cash. No weapon was displayed and no one was injured.

The suspect fled with an undetermined amount of cash exiting into Monument Square where he was last seen.

The suspect is described as a white male and was wearing a tan zippered jacket with a black inner liner and collar, a gray balaclava, olive green knit cap and sunglasses. He was carrying a backpack with black straps.

The Portland Police Department are asking anyone with information to call them at (207) 874-8575.
