After reopening for a little more than a week, the Portland Public Library is closing back down due to a recent rise in COVID-19 cases in Maine.

The library reopened to visitors on March 31st. On their website, they posted a notice this past weekend that they’re now offering doorside service at all locations.

According to the Portland Press Herald, Zoe Scott with the Portland Public Library said it will open back up as soon as COVID-19 cases stabilize again at a lower level.

The library was open for 30 minute visits, and only allowed twelve people inside at a time.
