The Portland Sea Dogs will take the field as the “Maine Clambakes” for a game in August.

The Sea Dogs will wear special Clambakes hats and jerseys for their game against the Richmond Flying Squirrels on Friday, Aug. 25.

A Thursday press release from the Red Sox Double-A affiliate said the game at Hadlock Field will feature various clam-themed promotions.

The team has previously rebranded as the Whoopie Pies, Red Snappers and the Bean Suppahs.

The Sea Dogs will bring back all of those brands for games in Portland this year.

The team will take the field as the Alces de Maine on Thursday, May 11, part of minor league baseball’s Hispanic fan engagement initiative.
