A rally against recent incidents involving neo-Nazis and hateful speech will be held in Augusta in November.

The Portland Press Herald reports that the rally, called ‘In Maine, Love is Louder’, will take place on Nov. 12 in Augusta’s Mill Park at 1 p.m.

The event is organized by the Greater Augusta Unity Committee, which was created soon after a neo-Nazi demonstration took place in August on the steps of the State House.

Other incidents that have occurred since include an antisemitic message found in Cony High School, racist graffiti on a Freeport playground in September, and hate speech made during a Hallowell council zoom meeting on 9/11, which had been open to the public.
