The results of recounts in Maine’s legislative races were released by the Secretary of State’s office on Tuesday.

A recount in House District 58, which covers the Belgrade area, confirmed the election night result, with Independent Sharon Frost beating incumbent Republican Daniel Newman by just 43 votes.

The election night result was also confirmed Tuesday in House District 75, which covers Chesterville and Farmington. Democrat Steven Bunker won that race against Republican Randall Gauvin, finishing ahead by 7 votes.
