Maine State Police are identifying the human remains of a man who’s been missing for more than five years.

The State Police Crime Laboratory has identified the remains found in the Garcelon Bog in Lewiston on January 25 as 68-year-old Michael Roberts of Lewiston.

Roberts was reported missing in November 2019 after he wandered off from his Bartlett Street home.

Police say it’s important to note the death is not considered suspicious.
