Maine Democratic Congressman Jared Golden will vote in favor of impeaching President Trump following last week’s violence at the U.S. Capitol.

In a statement released Monday, Golden, who represents Maine’s 2nd Congressional District in the U.S. House, said he does not believe “there has ever been a clearer case for the immediate impeachment of a president.”

The impeachment article in the U.S. House has gathered at least 218 cosponsors. They blame the president for inciting violence at the capitol building last Wednesday.
