State police say they are now investigating the death of a Richmond man as a homicide.

The death of 48-year-old Andrew Sherman has been under investigation since his body was found inside his home on Kimball Street earlier this month.

His body was found by a concerned friend, who went to Sherman’s home after not hearing from him for awhile.

An autopsy has been completed, but police are not releasing a cause of death at this time.

Detectives have interviewed family, friends and neighbors of Sherman and the State Police Crime Laboratory has been analyzing evidence taken from Sherman’s home.
