Robber Flees After UNH Student Shows Knife

A student at the University of New Hampshire stopped a robbery attempt late Friday night.

Police say a female student was walking on campus around 10:15 p.m. when she was approached by a suspect, who told her to empty her pockets. Police say the student showed a knife and the suspect ran away.

The student told authorities the suspect was a tall and thin white male who was wearing all dark clothing.

According to our info partners at CBS 13 News, police plan to increase patrols in the community.
