Rockland Police arrest 19-year-old and Minor After Thomaston Theft

A 19-year-old and a minor face charges after being accused of theft and refusing arrest in Rockland.

Police say Timothy Gleason of Cushing attempted to run away from a traffic stop Thursday morning, while an underage suspect aggressively fought with officers during an arrest at the scene.

They say they found evidence in the vehicle of a theft that occurred 20 minutes earlier in Thomaston.

Gleason was booked into the Knox County Jail on theft charges.
The minor faces theft and numerous other charges after police say the person threatened law enforcement and attempted to damage the police cruiser by kicking the inside.
The underage suspect was arrested for on refusing to submit to arrest/detention, terrorizing, disorderly conduct, criminal mischief and a juvenile probation violation. The juvenile also faces theft charges regarding the incident in Thomaston.
The minor was transported to Long Creek Development Center in South Portland.
